Thanakha Golf - 9 Days - Sample Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Yangon and transfer to Pansea Hotel. Presentation of the tour by a specialist on Burma.
Lunch in town (if arriving in the morning).
First discovery of the city.
Private dinner at the hotel.

Day 2
Golfer: departure from the hotel at 7.30am for Yangon's best green, without guide. Lunch at the golf course.
Non-golfer: visit the city with your guide, according to your wishes. Lunch in town.
Departure from the hotel at 3.30pm to visit the city and Shwedagon Pagoda.
Dinner at the Green Elephant.

Day 3
Transfer to the airport and flight to Bagan.
Transfer to the Bagan Golf Resort by luxury horse cart.
Visit Bagan. Lunch in a local restaurant. Watch the sunset from a temple.
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4
Golfer: departure to the green at 8.00am. You will enjoy the pleasure of playing among the pagodas. Unforgettable!
Non-golfer: visit other temples and a small Burmese lacquerware factory.
Lunch at the Golf Resort. At 3.00pm, departure to Leya with its teak monastery. Private boat trip to the Kyauk-Gu-Umin, sailing via the sights of Bagan. Relish the sun setting over the temples from the Irawaddy River.

Day 5
Flight to Mandalay. Transfer to Sedona Hotel.
Visit the city and the Mahamuni Pagoda, an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, walk on the old U-Bein bridge, entirely made of teak, a magical place from which to admire the sunset.
Dinner beside the hotel swimming pool.

Day 6
In the morning, a boat cruise on the Irrawaddy. Discover Mingun with its huge bell, and Sagaing with its hundreds of pagodas.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Golfer: departure for Mandalay golf course. Tee off at 2.00pm.
Non-golfer: Visit the local craft centers with your guide.
Dinner in town.

Day 7
In the morning, fly to Heho and transfer to the hotel.
The day is dedicated to the first visit to Inle Lake and its Intha villages by private boat. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8
With its small villages on piles, its fishermen who row with one leg while launching their nets, its floating cultures and its colourful markets, Inle Lake has an irresistible charm. We shall dedicate the day to its discovery.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 9
Golfer: transfer to the golf course.
Non-golfer: leisure time at the hotel or a final visit to the lake with your guide.
Flight to Yangon and transfer to the Pansea Hotel. Last visit to Yangon.
Dinner at Le Planteur, the best restaurant in Burma.

Day 10
Golf Player: if departure is in the evening, possibility of playing in the morning (not included in the tour cost).
Free time with guide and driver at your disposal, until transfer to the airport. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Transfer to the international airport.
End of our service.

Note: It is advisable that participants bring golf equipment that is not regarded as supplementary luggage by the airlines. However, it is possible to hire equipment on site (all the golf courses have been selected and checked by Herve Flejo).
